As a Chartered Marketer, Lindsay is committed to doing a lot of training and development every year. With the recent massive growth in the use of social media marketing, she felt it was the right time to polish up her knowledge in this area, ensuring she is continually able to give clients the best support.
Lindsay comments, “People think that because they know how to use Facebook or Twitter, they can easily use the tools for their business marketing. But when it comes to business, it’s not just about understanding the social media platforms, it’s about understanding marketing and how the channel fits into the mix.”
The CIM Masterclass covered a range of topics including strategy, audiences, content, influencers and metrics. “If you’re going to do any activity in marketing, then you should be looking at what the return on investment is going to be. Doing social media for the sake of it is a complete waste of time. As with any marketing task, it’s about meeting your business objectives. This course gave me a lot of clarity on how I can further help businesses to achieve their goals.”
