Lindsay Woodward Shortlisted for Inspirational Individual – Community Person of the Year

Lindsay Woodward has been shortlisted for The Inspirational Individual – Community Person of the Year, sponsored by Guardian Ballers UK, at the Coventry & Warwickshire Business and Community Awards.

The recognition relates to Lindsay’s work with the Rugby Literary Festival, a community focused event that had its second year in 2025.

The festival brought together writers, creatives, readers, families and local businesses, contributing to Rugby’s cultural life and strengthening community connections.

Lindsay supported the development and delivery of the festival on a voluntary basis, alongside running Lindsay Woodward Marketing and continuing her work as an author. Her involvement reflected a commitment to creating inclusive events that celebrate creativity and encourage participation from across the community.

The Rugby Literary Festival received positive feedback from audiences, participants and local businesses, with strong attendance across its programme and growing engagement year on year. The event was built to create opportunities for local voices to be heard.

Lindsay said: “I’m over the moon to be shortlisted for this award. The festival’s focus was to celebrate local talent and create something positive for the town. Seeing how the community has engaged with it was so rewarding, and I’m grateful to everyone who contributed to making it happen, including Rugby First and Rugby Borough Council. None of this would have happened without their support.”

The Coventry & Warwickshire Business and Community Awards celebrate individuals who make a meaningful contribution to their communities. The awards ceremony will take place on 23rd April at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry.
